Perhaps best described as "Wozzeck" meets "La Femme Nikita", this new opera, originally produced in the Netherlands, and written by Americans Mel Marvin, an NYU professor, and Jonathan Levi, meshes opera, film and Marvin's spiky, jazzy and always heartfelt music.
