Sim City, The Sims, and Spore are just a few of the many digital games created by visionary designer Will Wright who will host a global webcast on how digital games support and encourage learning.

Will Wright comes to the Skirball Center with NYU's Games for Learning Institute which studies the educational use of digital games, and investigats their socio-cultural, cognitive and emotional impacts. The Institute develops design patterns for effective educational games that industry partners can draw on to establish high quality when designing their own games for learning and currently focuses on games that teach science, technology, engineering and mathematics to middle school students.
