An evening featuring NYU Symphony and Choral Arts with a special guest appearance by alum and multiple Oscar and Grammy Award-winning composer, Alan Menken. The program will include Menken’s compositions from film and stage, the Liszt Piano Concerto with renowned faculty soloist, Eduardus Halim, as well as works for orchestra and voices by Leonard Bernstein and Beethoven. The concert will be conducted by Dr. Joseph Church, Steinhardt Music Composition alum and noted Broadway conductor and music supervisor of The Who’s Tommy and The Lion King.
