Hema Malini, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol along with their troupe perform Parampara, a classical Indian ballet in the U.S. for the very first time. Parampara symbolizes the succession of teacher and disciples, or in this case mother and daughters, in traditional Indian culture where legacy is passed down from one generation to the next.

Parampara depicts the relationship between mother and child, god and devotee. This special piece will feature a jugalbandi duet where the two daughters will match their Odissi movements to their mother’s Bharata Natyam simultaneously performing two of the eight classical dance forms of India.

The spellbinding Hema Malini, is a Bollywood luminary as well as an actor, politician and a spectacular Bharata Natyam dancer. Her critically acclaimed ballets, Durga, Draupadi, Laxmi among many more have been performed all over the world. Her daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol are both accomplished Odissi dancers.
