An educational and inspirational event showcasing accomplished Iranian-Americans who wish to share life and career experiences with the younger generations of Iranian-Americans. The event will be co-hosted by comedian Maz Jobrani and former CNN anchor Rudi Bakhtiar. Speakers include : Mary Apick, actress, writer and producer; Dr. Hamid Biglari, the Vice-Chair of Citicorp; Mohsen Moazami, Cisco; Sharmin Mossavar-Rahmani, partner at Goldman Sachs; Dr. Firouz Naderi, Associate Director of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory for Project Formulation and Strategy; Roya Hakakian, author and journalist. There will also be a musical performance by Tara Kamangar.

The Public Affairs Alliance of Iranian-Americans is a non-partisan, non-sectarian, national grassroots membership organization dedicated to bringing their community together to project an accurate and positive image of Iranian-Americans that truly reflects their values and achievements, and to building a highly respected and influential voice in the U.S. political process.The PAAIA works to bring Iranian-Americans together, expand opportunities for the active participation of Iranian Americans in the democratic process at all levels of government and in the public debate, and to foster greater understanding of their community and its Persian heritage.
