The Youth Orchestra, CYCNY (Chinese Youth Corps of New York) was founded in 1996, and incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1997. The Queens-based group is comprised of more than 65 talented young musicians from age 11 to 21. The Youth Orchestra is actively involved in the community, giving concerts in community centers, hospitals, and nursing homes. This program will include classical, popular, film, Broadway, and Asian music under the direction of Dr. Jeffrey Liang.
