The Skirball Center offers internships and employs dozens of students to help in our administrative offices, box office, front of house, and backstage operations. Most hiring takes place at the beginning of each academic year, but we're always interested in meeting students that feel they have something to offer the Skirball Center and are passionate about the arts. Front of House Staff - Competitive wages available for approximately 8-14 hours of work per week. Applicants should be professional, patient and forward thinking, with the ability to think on their feet, independently problem solve and be stern while friendly. Should be available to work nights, as well as some mornings and weekends. Prior customer service experience, ushering experience, and experience with concessions a plus. Work-study eligibility is preferred.
Stage/Lighting/Audio Technicians - Opportunities available for students with experience in theatrical and/or event lighting, stage hand, stage management and audio to work closely with full time production personnel as well as visiting artists in the preparation and execution of events. Opportunities for employment arise on a show by show basis.
